he's saying the first hiragana form being displayed should be めんどうくさい and not めんどくさい since the Jap keyboard program won't suggest 面倒くさい if you type めんどくさい .
personally I think the top entry being displayed first shouldn't have Kanji at all since this term is usually written only using kana and then also without the u
if you look at the Jap Wiktionary they basically only have an entry for the kana form without u as well

I think「面倒くさい」's pronunciation isn't 「めんどくさい」is 「めんどくさい」
isn't 「めんどくさい」is 「めんどくさい」 and there it's displayed as another way to say it but actually it's typed with どう not just ど (try to type it with ど and you'll see it doesn't work)
